The Fugitives

The Fugitives, established in 2007, have released four records, which have been nominated for multiple Canadian Folk Music Awards and a Western Canadian Music Award. Their previous album, Everything Will Happen, spent ten weeks on the top ten Canadian folk charts, and earned them a support slot across Western Canada with Buffy Sainte-Marie and an appearance at UK’s Glastonbury Festival. Their follow-up, The Promise of Strangers, is set for release on January 26th on Borealis Records.

Album Announce and New Video

Hey all, We are really pleased to announce the release of our new album "Everything Will Happen" on Light Organ Records. It will be available on October 22nd.

In the meantime, please view a new video for the track "My My" from the new album. It's directed by filmmaking wizard Randall Okita and you can watch the exclusive premiere on Artistdirect HERE

Tour dates pouring in right now. We are crossing the country in October/November and taking on Europe in May/June. See you soon!

Updates: Album Announcement/new press/keep on charting...

Hey all! Quick update on the latest Fugitive shenanigans. First things first: the launch date for the new album is coming out on Monday, along with a new video, so stay tuned for that!

In other news, we were featured on Alan Cross' awesome 'Music from the Inbox' this week.

We are still charting in the !earshot national folk top ten. Eight straight weeks now!

A new video for "Bigger than Luck" just came out and was featured in Exclaim. Watch it here
